We offer a laid back, relaxed atmosphere and have a selection of rotating craft beers and seasonals. You can also enjoy a variety of wines from our parent company, Sotrio Vineyards & Winery.

ABOUT US

Sotrio Brewing Company opened in May 2024. Located inside the tasting room at Sotrio Vineyards & Winery, we are a relaxed, fun, and funky brand offering eight beers on tap: light, dark, red, hoppy, seasonal, and experimental. We highlight the local ingredients of the NC/SC area using Carolina Malt, well water from the property, yeast propagated in Asheville, and local produce.

We are nestled in the beautiful Yadkin Valley, just outside of Winston-Salem, NC. Our inspiration comes from the surrounding area that is filled with briars, curious rabbits and wildlife of all kind, abundant mushrooms, and of course the Blue Ridge Mountains. When we say "follow the rabbit", we mean join us down the rabbit hole as we adventure into the world of craft beer.

We have something for all beer lovers and also operate alongside Sotrio Vineyards & Winery where you can taste 9 wines grown on property. Bring your pups, we are dog-friendly, but please note our policies. We also have plenty of space for kiddos to run around outside, but please supervise for safety. We look forward to great conversation and serving you your new favorite beer!

Visiting Us- Policies

Dogs: We are a working agricultural area with active wildlife and our three labradors on the property. Dogs are welcome, however you MUST call ahead to let us know your estimated arrival time so that we can provide the best experience for you. All dogs must remain leashed and under your control at all times while on the property. FOOD: We currently do not have food available other than small cheese plates and crackers. Local food trucks will be coming soon! Small picnic lunches are welcome, but please discard any trash and follow a carry-in carry-out policy. OUTSIDE BEVERAGES: Due to ABC laws, we do not permit outside alcohol at any time. Only alcohol available at Sotrio Vineyards & Winery and Sotrio Brewing Company is permitted on-premise. AGE: We do not have an age restriction. Children are welcome, but we ask that they remain under your supervision at all times. For those looking to enjoy wine or beer, we will ask for identification. RIDE SHARE SERVICES: Due to our location, ride share services such as Uber and Lyft may be available to get you here, but might not be available for your return. Please plan your travel accordingly. GROUPS: For groups of 6 or more, please call us as soon as you can, but at least 24 hours in advance, to schedule a reservation so we can give you the best experience possible. Groups without a reservation may have to wait to be served together, but are welcome to purchase bottles/glasses of wine or beer to enjoy on our property. GENERAL: We strive for a relaxing, unhurried, and safe atmosphere. So each of our guests can have a great experience, we kindly ask that no bluetooth speakers be used on the property, no vaping/smoking, and avoiding wearing heavy perfumes or colognes. We have a lot of grassy areas amongst the vineyard, a wooden deck, and a concrete patio, but we encourage wearing sneakers to avoid tripping/falling as you explore the property.

MEET THE "BREWSTER"

Operating as a family-owned business, owners Bill and Teresa Piastuch run the winery, while their daughter Jamie, is the certified "brewster" for Sotrio Brewing Co. Jamie has an Associate's Degree in Brewing, Distilling, and Fermentation Science from Blue Ridge Community College in Flat Rock, NC. She has brewed for an impressive amount of places including Southern Application, Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery Co, Mars Theatre Brewing Co, Chimney Rock Brewing, and Bridgeway Brewing Co. She officially started brewing for Sotrio in March 2024 and is having so much fun coming up with new flavors and fun names.

She loves traveling with her two dogs Indy and Jonesy, and even took a year off after college to travel the country in her van, stopping at many National Parks like Yosemite and and Yellowstone.

Jamie hopes that Sotrio will become the new favorite hangout for locals and vineyard employees. She would like to experiment with traditional styles of beers, tweaking them, and highlighting the local ingredients the Carolinas offer. She is excited to see the brand grow while remaining community focused by contributing to seasonal festivities, hosting local events and charities, and donating to chosen causes (proceeds from certain batches of beer go directly to a cause).
